Dune Lakes Lodge Horse Inspired Learning Centre is a stunning 37 acre horse farm set in ancient sand hills adjacent to lakes, forest and beach. Our facilities include: an open arena, 2 round pens, a huge converted-barn event centre, a marquee, and a covered cafe area.

Food & drinks

There will be drinks and wholesome vegan and vegetarian food available for you to buy. However, you can also BYO food and cater for yourself - there is a bbq available and very basic kitchen facilities. Helensville is about a 20-minutes drive away from Dune Lakes Lodges with shops and restaurants. There is also a small FourSquare supermarket in Parakai (about 15 minutes away).

Transport

By plane & bus
Nearest domestic and international airport is Auckland. There is a bus connection from Auckland airport into the city centre and you can get a bus from there to Parakai (FourSquare supermarket). However, be prepared: it is quite a long journey AND you need to organise a shuttle from Parakai to Dune Lakes Lodge. A more convenient option might be to hire a rental car. It's about 60 km from Auckland airport to Helensville.

By car
The easiest and fastest option to get to Dune Lakes Lodge is by car. It will take you about 45-60 minutes from Auckland to Dune Lakes Lodge.
